Menstrual hygiene donation drive

Throughout late May, the IDIA community came together in an inspiring display of solidarity to support our Menstrual Hygiene Donation Drive.

Aligning deeply with our mission to empower women and support education, this drive was dedicated to helping teen girls and school children in need. Period poverty is a silent barrier that too often prevents young women from attending class. We launched this initiative believing that every girl deserves comfort, dignity, and, most importantly, the chance to stay in school.

Our goal was simple but profound: to remove one more obstacle keeping girls from achieving their dreams.

An Incredible Community Response

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and immediate response from across the Austin area. Our community proved that small acts truly do create a big impact.

How We Collected Donations:

  • In-Person Drop-Offs: We utilized private drop-off locations in Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Austin. Thank you to the dedicated community leads who volunteered their space to collect these essential items.

  • Virtual Contributions: Our curated Amazon Registry was highly effective, allowing supporters from across the country to order needed supplies directly, which were shipped directly to IDIA for distribution.
